In my abstract paintings I try to avoid the conforming. The paintings are based on intuition, the landscape and the Danish weather. I focus on their impact on our minds, and I let that inspire me.

Abstract art and paintings with figurative details

I paint my abstractions with my intuition. I evoke experiences that are translated into rough bold strokes, simple small more figurative details, and colors that are explosive but also hazy like a summer evening with waning sun or a cool autumn day with banks of mist flowing in over land.

Water is an ever-recurring element in my pictures. It is the primordial soup for all life, it is outside – and inside us. The strong blue color is always represented in my paintings – abstract in particular, it fills our day and gives peace of mind.
